When you get to ride grab, put on update Carbon offset 100 Riel that is one thing I think you can do related to Climate Change. You can do more for sure and the second thing I am going to say is to take interest in the matter and scan through NDC (National Determined Contribution) of Cambodia, Climate Change Strategic Plan, Green Growth, and some important world documents. I am gonna do it with you, I am on my way too and share it as a cafe table topic if you get the chance. (just…maybe make it friendly if you think people will turn their face away when you mention Climate Change, like ask them do they know that when they eat ice cream outside now it is actually melting faster than in the 90s? … sorry if it sounds stupid, I just want to help.)

I am happy to see youths taking as many actions as they could in advocating especially in the city right now, it seems to become a trend on reducing plastic consumption, I am in this with you too just I can’t do it 100% yet though. I take lots of interest in reducing shopping, grocery bags, makeup, skincare, use menstrual cup, pads, local products and buy more eco-friendly, sustainable, or replaceable products if available or if I can pay for that.

What we notice the most I think especially for the 90s kids is the heat and the hot December which used to be so windy and cold in the morning, we have to throw the sweater on and (go low? because in public school we can’t wear cute coloring sweater according to (Somebody) rules, so shitty.)

I don’t want to bring the temperature technical thing up, you will leave right away I know. I just want to say check this NASA page out to see where we are: https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/

The world makes the commitment to below 2C and limits the increase to 1.5C (above pre-industrial …which leads to more explanation, so I think enough for now) Thanks to the Net Zero pledge we might stay at 2.1C instead of 3.2C by the end of the century. — Global Climate Risk Index 2021

If you are interested to continue, go ahead, if you feel sleepy, maybe again, ENOUGH for now.

No matter what, we will still face the destruction from the extreme weather that until now already exhaust the list of alphabet names. — Global Climate Risk Index 2021

In 2013 floods alone led to Cambodia losing $350 million. Around 300,000ha of farmland and 200,000 homes were damaged, with 150 fatalities and $900 Million have to raise between the ministries. Khmer times

It leads us to look at the injustice, inequality, and to whom might be the most polluters and when will the promise of billion-dollar fundraising commitment be met for the preventive and systematic adaptation for example. Public health, food security, educations, empowerment, production, employment, accessibility, clean energy, human rights, I mean…the list will just go on and on.

And I watched Love Life starring Anna Kendrick, I am her fan, you can try watching it, it has a really “SO TRUE” ending love lesson learned line, sorry, by the way, one of her (complicate, I will just say) Ex named Augie in the series said something about climate change like:

…sad.
